Artistic Director           Kim White

Kimberly A. White is the artistic director for the Choral Arts Singers. She was the choral and musical theater director at Duchesne High School for 23 years and now is the choral director/music technology teacher at Hollenbeck Middle School in the Francis Howell School District. In her tenure at Duchesne High School the choir program grew from two choirs with 60 singers her first year to later having 5 choirs with 130+ singers. The top two choirs consistently received Superior and Excellent ratings at State music festival and travelling to out-of-town music festivals. They were frequently invited to sing at community events including the installation of the current Archbishop of St. Louis and for the installation of the Pro-temp of the Missouri Senate. This is her first year directing the Choral Arts Singers and she has enjoyed it very much and is looking forward to a wonderful future with them! Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Music Education – Vocal degree from Northern Arizona University and has since taken classes toward a Master’s degree to further her directing abilities. She has performed with the Archdiocesan Choir of St. Louis when the Pope last visited. She also sings at her church Grace Community Chapel, where she often substitutes for the music minister directing the choir and participates in drama performances there as well. She has been the Choral Vice-President of the Metro 8 district of the Missouri Music Educators Association, working as coordinator of the Honor Choir auditions and performances. Her professional memberships include: ACDA, MCDA, NAfME, and MMEA. Most importantly, she has a wonderful husband of 28 years, Chris and three wonderful boys, Cameron and twins Quentin and Colton, who support her in all of her musical endeavors.

Acompaniast Sara Perkins Shroth Sara Shroth serves as the adult choir accompanist at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, MO. She was previously the choir director/accompanist at Shiloh Methodist Church in Foristell, MO. She is a substitute teacher in the Wentzville R-IV School District. Sara and her husband Larry enjoy travel with a purpose, most often serving as volunteers for Wycliffe Bible Translators, an organization devoted to supporting the work of Bible translation for millions of people who do not have the Bible in their “heart” language. So far they have volunteered in Paraguay, Peru and New Zealand. Sara is also an avid reader and PBS Mystery fan.

About Us!

Founded in 1973, the Concert Arts Association has been providing an opportunity for the residents of St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, and St. Louis Counties to perform and experience professional quality vocal music. Truly an organization with something for everyone, Concert Arts Association is guided by the ideal of providing music education programs with the highest level of quality possible while keeping our dues and program fees as low as possible.

Our goal is to provide vocal music performance and education at a challenging level not found in most local church choirs or small community choruses while still having fun in the process. Our programs include classical, popular and Broadway fare, performed in formal attire. The Choral Arts Singers welcome men and women of high school age and older. Children and middle school youth are invited and welcome to the Choral Arts Youth. Our singers choose to participate, audition-free.

The Choral Arts Singers (CAS), our accomplished SATB choir has been serving and performing in St. Charles County and surrounding areas for nearly 40 years. We have also performed in Hawaii, New York City's Carnegie Hall and Washington, D.C's Kennedy Center. Membership in the group is open to anyone ages 9th grade thru adult who wishes to participate, regardless of musical knowledge, as long as they wish to learn the music and strive for excellence. Our staff and veterans help provide the education and skills. At least 13 weekly practice sessions and 2-3 performances are scheduled each semester.

Comprised of younger singers ages 8 through 13, the Choral Arts Youth choir has also sang at prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York. Although no audition is required to become a member of this group, they constantly strive to reach for the stars! CAY has many performance opportunities throughout the concert season, and sings both fun and serious pieces. At least 13 practice sessions and at least two performances are scheduled each semester.

Concert Arts is an IRS section 501 (c) (3) charitable organization and relies heavily on the generosity of its audiences. We do not charge admission to our concerts. Expenses are covered by dues, occasional fees, donations, program advertisements, and public grants. Because of the significant decrease in available grants, we are aggressively seeking sponsors for this, our 40th season. Sponsors receive full acknowledgement and advertising space in our concert programs and on our website http://concertarts.org/index.html.
